on making tea and other thoughts
Hello all!
I'm feeling more like a journal-entry type format today so strap in!
One of the things I wanted to share is the way I make tea which I don't think is particularly crazy but I do think is particularly yummy ( attempt at your own risk).
Here are the steps:
1. boil water, hopefully in a kettle of some sort but I guess in the microwave if one is desperate (necessary)
2. get a mug you really like (necessary in MY opinion)
3. while the water boils add to the mug (all to taste):
- honey
- sugar
- yes both I don't care
- an earl gray tea bag, I use Twinings but I doubt it matters
- lavender syrup (this step is the most optional but if you add it you are officially making what is called a "London Fog" and I think that's fun ( shoutout to my Mom for getting me lavender syrup))
4. pour the boiling water into that concoction, but not all the way to the top, and let it stew for a while like you're brewing a potion
5. grab your preferred milk, (I have whole because something's up with me probably) and fill it to the top
TADA!!! a perfect London Fog!
Ok next! A list of small things
- I've become mildly addicted to online Mahjong
- found out that the guy who recorded an audiobook I'm listening to killed his wife last year????
- I want it to be a real spring and not another fake one, that rat lied
- I had a job interview for Dry Goods in the mall and didn't get it :(
- finally got approved to be a doordasher so I can't wait to be incredibly wealthy
- we're reading Joan Didion's Slouching Towards Bethlehem for book club
- my boyfriend Tate and I watched Gnomeo and Juliet and I still firmly believe that it is probably one of the top films in cinema history
- Kitty has figured out how to take off the collar I bought for here a few weeks ago, She is so smart
- David Tennant hosting the Baftas
- Every week I patiently wait for Monday so that I can listen to the Watcher Entertainment podcast
- when it's warm I consider chopping off all of my hair into a Joan of Arc bob
- we had a mock Joan of Arc trial the other day for my Women in European History class and I was forced to be against her and argued very hard that she was a possessed temptress
- I have been desperately trying to download a system that will let me play all the old Poptropica islands but I can't seem to get it to work (if you have any information on this please let me know)
- "No Surprises" by Radiohead
Ok, I think that's all of my immediate thoughts that you now all have direct access to!
Sorry that this was kind of a long post but hopefully it's the kind of thing your mind easily glazes over. Wow, I'm such a talented documentarian. Goodbye for now! Mwah

Thanks for the shoutout, and you’re welcome! 😊
