Winter Styles on a College Campus
Happy Monday everyone! Recently the weather here has been gross, dark, and mostly rainy with the occasional flurry of snow. So here are some of the styles I've been seeing around campus recently along with what looks I've been putting together.
Outfits:
Finally, it is sweater weather in Michigan which in my opinion is such a good look for everyone. I've been seeing a lot of patterned Grandpa sweaters. This look can be easily represented by the influence of the ICONIC Rory Gilmore sweater.
Another thing I've really been enjoying is a sweater, tights, and a skirt with docs. I'm fairly certain this is also a result of Gilmore Girls in some way or perhaps just all early 2000s shows. I've also been thinking about getting some fun funky tights but I'm not sure I could pull them off the way I want to.
What a segue! Onto accessories!
I've been on a long-scarf and flowy coat kick recently (no particular reason, don't look too far into it). My favorite combo can be seen in my OOTD post from a couple days ago.
But really I love the very colorful winter accessories like knit hats and stripey scarves and those big fun mittens. Here are some examples:
Oh another thing I don't have but keep thinking about is funky leg warmers: LOOK HOW CUTE
I hate when a style I'm suddenly into does not match the rest of my wardrobe. If I could have wishes from a genie one of them would definitely be the infinite wardrobe that Barbie has in life in the Dreamhouse.
Last but not least I have seen some truly wild coats on campus so far. Everywhere from long leather to 100% fur. I love it when people are fun and expressive with their outfits! Although I did see one kid wearing shorts while it snowed and I don't think I can really condone that one... Ok, that's all for now! see ya!
